Brian has been in the financial services industry since 1995. He started in the investment bank, Bear Stearns & Co., as operations trainee before moving into front office roles with the High Grade, Emerging Markets and High Yield trading desks.
In 1999, Brian transitioned to the buy-side and was the first hire for Hawkeye Capital Management, LLC. As the firm’s CFO and COO, he was tasked with the responsibility for building and overseeing all non-investment related aspects including operational, financial and administrative functions for an SEC registered Investment Adviser. In these roles, he managed the NAV and fee calculation process, developed the financial reporting for several funds, monitored the reconciliations of the fund’s portfolio and cash positions, assisted IR team, and maintained the books and records for the fund’s management company.
For almost two decades, Brian was instrumental in growing Hawkeye in terms of its firm assets under management and its institutional quality platform. Recently, Brian spent nearly 2-years as a Senior Consultant for an outsourced CFO team assisting clients with accounting/middle office and operational needs.
Brian was raised in Red Bank, NJ and currently resides in Tinton Falls with his wife and two sons. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1995 with a degree in Finance.
