EPI Summit Recap: Where Conversations Turn Into Action

April 27, 2026

The Exit Planning Institute Summit in Nashville delivered exactly what it’s known for: real conversations, practical insights, and the kind of connection that moves the needle.

We kicked things off Saturday at the EPI Golf Outing, and it set the tone right away for a great conference. Time on the course with strategic partners Kristin and Tina wasn’t just about catching up. It was about strengthening relationships that matter. Equally valuable were the new connections I made, meeting centers of influence and connecting with fellow CEPA®s. Those informal moments tend to shape everything that follows.

Sunday brought the Chapter Presidents Roundtable, and this is where the collaborative spirit of EPI really shows up. Leaders came together to share ideas, challenges, and wins, all centered on one goal: how do we elevate the experience for CEPA®s while increasing our impact in our local communities?

Yes, it’s about driving value. But it’s also about building something that lasts beyond any one engagement.

The opening keynote from EPI President Scott Snyder set a strong foundation. His message was clear: culture isn’t a soft concept. It’s a driver of value and a defining factor in championship-level organizations. That idea carried well beyond the session itself and into conversations throughout the evening of networking.

Monday leaned into content and breakouts, giving everyone the opportunity to dig deeper into specific areas. One highlight was connecting with the Sarasota Chapter at an impromptu Florida CEPA® social. It was another reminder of just how strong and engaged this network is across regions. There’s real momentum here, and you can feel it when you’re in the room.

Tuesday shifted toward practice management and what I’d call “sharpening the saw.” But the keynote that stood out most to me centered on authenticity. The message hit home: take off the mask, look in the mirror, and hold yourself accountable. That’s where real growth starts. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s necessary.

We wrapped up the conference the same way we started, through more conversation, debriefs, and sharing perspectives with peers who are all pushing toward the same goal. And that’s really the essence of this event.

This isn’t a passive conference where you sit back and take notes. It’s a working session where iron sharpens iron. You leave not just with ideas, but with clarity, accountability, and stronger relationships that push you forward long after the event ends.

And now the real work begins. Taking what I learned this week and putting it into practice to better serve the business owners we work with every day.
