Last week, our entire FourFront Wealth Management team came together in Sarasota for three days of work, connection, and a lot of Florida sunshine. We’ve added several new team members this year across Florida, New Jersey, and Arkansas, so getting everyone together in the same place felt long overdue. While working remotely is a huge benefit for all of us, being in the same room reminds me how much we gain from real face time—the kind of conversations and bond-building you just can’t recreate on a screen. When you’re together, conversations flow more naturally, ideas surface faster, and you get to know each other in a way that goes past the day-to-day tasks. Those moments strengthened our communication and deepened our relationships in ways that directly make us better for our clients. The trust that forms in those in-between moments, whether it’s walking to dinner or talking on the beach, creates a stronger foundation for how we collaborate and problem-solve. Having colleagues from AssetMark and Clark Capital join us only added to that sense of alignment and purpose.
We carved out time for real conversations about where we’ve been, where we’re heading, and how we show up for the people we serve. When you’re face-to-face, it’s easier to be candid about what’s working and what needs attention. It’s easier to listen. It’s easier to build respect. Those honest, open conversations help us tighten our workflows, communicate more clearly, and understand each other’s strengths on a deeper level. All of that translates into a smoother experience for our clients whether it be faster responses or more thoughtful solutions from a team who anticipates each other’s needs instead of operating in silos. It wasn’t a formal conference room kind of week but more of a chance to talk openly, share ideas, and dig into what we want to build next. I walked away feeling energized, proud, and grateful for the people who make this firm what it is.
Of course, it wasn’t all business. We had some great dinners, plenty of laughs, and perfect weather that made Sarasota feel like the ideal backdrop for a reset. We took advantage of the water and went kayaking through the mangroves and spent an evening networking with local EPI Sarasota Chapter members. By the end of each day, it was easy to see new friendships forming and old ones strengthening. We all enjoyed the chance to slow down and connect as people, not just coworkers.
Looking back, the biggest takeaway is how much stronger we are when we invest in our relationships. Meeting in person didn’t just bring us closer; it sharpened how we communicate, how we plan, and how we show up as one team. I’m excited to carry that energy forward and bring the benefits of this time together directly into the work we do for our clients every day. Getting everyone together reminded me how important it is to step out of the day-to-day and make space for moments like this. I’m already looking forward to the next time we’re all in one place and to the work we’ll do together in the months ahead.
